Find Out More About Me

I’m Vukasin Keselj — a Master of Science in Kinesiology and a certified personal trainer

My name is Vukasin Keselj, and I’m originally from Serbia. I came to the United States as a student-athlete playing basketball. Since an early age, I’ve been interested in the human body, health , and quality of life, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

I began my journey in vocational high school studying Physical Therapy, then earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Kinesiology at a top-tier research university. Throughout my studies, career, and years in sports, I’ve been fortunate to learn from exceptional coaches, professors, and experts who have deeply influenced my approach to training, well-being, and the way I think.

Over the years, I’ve worked in almost every corner of the fitness and rehab world — from physical therapy and massage, to stretching and mobility, corrective exercises, strength and conditioning, and personal training. I’ve worked with people of all ages and ability levels, from individuals with physical limitations to competitive athletes, helping them move better, feel better, and reach their full potential.

I’m a motivated and curious person who always strives to overcome myself. Beyond training, I love spending time in nature, practicing hot yoga, meditating, and connecting with people. I’m also a warm, positive, and humorous person who enjoys learning and sharing knowledge with others.

I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to help people — because through helping you improve your health and reach your goals, you allow me to live my dream and a purposeful life.

What Makes  Me Different

Strong Educational Foundation

I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Kinesiology, graduating summa cum laude. My Master’s degree was earned at a top R1 research university, where everything is grounded in evidence-based practice. In addition, I hold 8 professional certifications and bring over 11 years of experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I’m not just a “gym buddy” — I provide expert guidance, tailored programs, and results-driven coaching that goes beyond casual workouts.

Medical Background Applied to Fitness

My foundation in physical therapy and rehabilitation began in vocational medical high school in Serbia, where I gained valuable hands-on experience through multiple internships. I have worked with older adults, individuals with disabilities, and athletes, applying my medical knowledge to help clients safely improve movement and heal from various conditions. I am also certified as a Physical Activity and Public Health Specialist through ACSM, enabling me to work safely with individuals who have chronic diseases or health conditions.

Pain Management & Corrective Exercise

I specialize in identifying and addressing movement imbalances. With my NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) certification, I help clients correct dysfunctional movement patterns, reduce pain, and restore optimal function. My approach blends corrective exercise with functional training, allowing clients not only to recover but also to perform better long term.

Stretching & Mobility Expertise

As a certified Flexologist and dedicated yogi, I bring both professional training and personal practice to help clients improve flexibility and mobility. I guide them through assisted and active PNF stretching techniques that restore range of motion, enhance performance, and reduce the risk of injury. PNF stretching is safe and highly effective, designed to maximize each stretch efficiently. My passion for movement ensures every client moves more efficiently, feels balanced, and experiences improved function in daily life and sport.

Athlete’s Perspective

I come from an athletic background, having played college basketball and trained under some of Serbia’s top strength and conditioning coaches. I was lucky in life to work with the best S&C coaches as an athlete and learn from the highly recognized experts in my field. This unique experience as both an athlete and coach allows me to understand the mental and physical demands of training. I know how to dose training effectively and create sport-specific programs so athletes can move more efficiently during competition and practice. I apply this same approach to help clients reach their full potential, whether in sport, training, or daily performance.

Behavioral Change Coaching

Sustainable results go beyond workouts — they require lasting behavior change. I use evidence- based strategies such as goal setting, motivation, problem-solving, reinforcement, and self- monitoring. I apply these methods with clients to build healthier habits, reduce sedentary time, and stay consistent with fitness and nutrition goals. My approach helps clients not just transform their bodies, but also reshape their lifestyle for long-term success.

F.A.Q

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to see the first visible results?

The first visible results usually appear after 4 to 6 weeks of consistent training and a balanced diet. Of course, it depends on genetics, workout intensity, and discipline. The most important thing is not to give up — your body remembers every effort.

Do you recommend supplementation?

Supplementation can be helpful, but it’s not necessary. If you have a balanced diet and get enough protein, you often don’t need additional products. Still, protein, creatine, or vitamins can be useful for supporting your goals and recovery.

How much does a training session cost?

Session prices depend on the package and your specific training needs. Please contact your trainer for exact pricing and available options.

What’s best for muscle recovery?

The best muscle recovery comes from a combination of good sleep, enough protein intake, and proper hydration. Light stretching, massages, and rest days between workouts also help your muscles repair and grow.

How important is sleep for progress?

Sleep is extremely important because the body recovers and releases growth hormones during rest. Lack of sleep slows muscle recovery and reduces energy levels. For optimal results, aim for 7–9 hours of sleep every night.

How often should I work out?

For most people, training 3 to 5 times a week is ideal. This gives your body enough stimulation to progress while still allowing time to recover. It’s important to listen to your body and adjust the intensity to your fitness level.

What kind of nutrition do you recommend after a workout?

After a workout, it’s best to have a meal rich in protein and complex carbs — for example, chicken with rice or eggs with oats. This combination helps rebuild muscle tissue and restores the energy you burned during exercise.

How can I motivate myself to start working out?

The best way is to set realistic and achievable goals, like feeling better in your body or having more energy. Create a workout plan and track your progress. Surround yourself with supportive people and remind yourself why you started — motivation grows as you see results.
